DIY Nursing Cover

I completed 2 nursing covers today, that have been in the works on and off for the last week.  It was made with cotton knit as the outside and woven cotton fabric as the lining.  I found the pattern from here.

The velcro strap to adjust for size.  Without an actual baby to try the whole nursing cover on, I did find the strap to be a bit too long.

The lining with pockets.  The original pattern says a secret pocket, but I didn't want to look for the pocket!  It's used to hold wipes and what-nots.  

Pocket in the lining has a velcro closure. 

Boning before it went into the nursing cover.  It was my first time working with boning; the lady at the stall selling them told me I could finish the ends by holding them over a fire, which I did.

My completed nursing covers.  As you can see, the boning creates a space for peeking in at the baby during nursing.  

The real test will be when the baby comes and I use these for real!
